HollyLet’s shine some light on a growing company called South Slope Hunting Co.
Currently South Slope Hunting Co is an apparel company with a growing mission. Profits gained from sales go to hunts they aim to set up for others. They’re all about helping get those into the outdoors that may not have the ability on their own. They provide opportunities that not everyone can experience.
South Slope works hard to take veterans, women, anyone disabled or sick, and youth out hunting in God’s green earth. Especially those that have sacrificed more than any of us could ever imagine. The outdoors provides a type of peace that you can’t get anywhere else. The memories that are made during those hunts are priceless and can never be forgotten.
A YouTube channel is started to help educate and encourage others. There’s also challenge groups where they help people to level up their hunting abilities. South Slope even give people a community to be educated in a safe ethical way. They strongly desire to conserve nature and clean up the earth.
The Founders of South Slope
Makendrie and Beaudie enjoy all things outdoors related like hunting, fishing, shed hunting, and hunting with their hounds. They mainly hunt elk, deer, coyotes, and mountain lions. They have a daughter that they’re raising to enjoy the same great lifestyle as well. Makendrie and Beaudie are from Utah and started this company together.
The outdoors is where they go to distress. Beaudie and Makendrie wanted to help deserving veterans, chronically sick kids, and anyone disabled to be able to get out and enjoy hunting. They also try to educate and inspire others whether they already hunt or those who want to learn how to get started. There’s something for everyone to enjoy in the outdoors.
The Inspiration
The Inspiration came from the desire to help others enjoy the outdoors where they can build confidence and gain amazing experiences. They wanted to share the benefits that the outdoors provides for veterans, sick kids, and anyone else wanting to learn.
Makendrie felt that they could help others learn to gain more confidence in themselves when hunting because even she struggles with having the confident to hunt alone. They want to inspire others so they know that they’re able to hunt or fish if they want to no matter their race, gender, or background.
Makendrie and Beaudie tried starting businesses on their own but realized that they were stronger together. So with that along with seeing certain needs in the industry, South Slope Hunting Co was born.
South Slope’s Ultimate Goal
A goal for South Slope is to grow the company and social media which could open the ability of providing more opportunities for others and doing it full time. Growth would help them reach their ultimate goals that will allow them to achieve their mission of helping as many deserving individuals as possible.
An ultimate goal is the hopes of adding outfitting to the company which could open unlimited opportunities for those deserving individuals. Along with having the property to be able to teach hands-on skills in a space they can change for events held to educate and build confidence in people. All of which truly creates a positive community in every possible way.
A Veteran’s Hunt Experience
“My hunting experience with South Slope has been one that I will never forget. Early 2021 I was able to meet them on a freezing cold morning. I was confused as to why they would take time out of their weekend to take myself and another veteran on a mountain lion hunt.
Just a few minutes into the hunt, Beaudie spotted a track and Makendrie’s face lit up. That’s when they let their hounds out of the back of the truck. As the dogs worked the trail, they answered all our questions and treated us like family. They let us know that it was okay to be at any skill level when it comes to different styles of hunting and outdoor activities.
It was an amazing experience, they stayed in touch with us afterwards and let us get involved in supporting their mission. This outdoor therapy can save lives, be a cure for depression, and let you know that there is so much more to learn.”
South Slope Events
Many events are getting scheduled for 2022 like a clean up initiative in the mountains and more hunts for veterans. They partner up with other organizations for benefits to help as many as they can. You can find any upcoming events on their website.

Makendrie and Beaudie took my wife and I (both of us are veterans) out for night coyote hunt a few weeks ago. They are both very passionate about their mission to expose people to the outdoors.
