I enjoy fishing as much as I do hunting. Every time I’m out driving around and I see a body of water, it makes me automatically want to be out fishing. I’m even checking the weather daily, to see how windy it is out. In case I want to go fishing later.
There is nothing like fresh walleye or pike.. When you cook it on the stove, grill, or the smoker or the fire pit. From the lake to the plate is awesome. Especially when you know you had caught the fish, clean the fish yourself and prepare it for your family’s meal. Nothing gets better then that.
When we go fishing, I’ve been known to use a leech, worm or frog on my line. On occasion I do use artificial bait. It all depends on where we go to. Yes, I bait my own hook. My husband and I can go out on the boat for hours. Fishing is relaxing and I get to enjoy nature and all its beauty. Love the sunrises and sunset.
When the fish start biting, and you fill that tug on your line. Pure enjoyment of reeling the fish in. The best thing though is spending time out on the water with my hubby. Doing something we both love to do.
