Huntin Wives
Huntin Wives was created to be a safe support group of women. Bringing other women of all ages together through social networking. For those who love to hunt, fish, and shoot. To those who desire to learn more about the outdoors and explore those hobbies.
They’re the first to offer a monthly feature of an active female in the outdoors as their Honorary Huntin Wife of the Month. Where you can learn what got them started in the outdoors. Also what drives them to continue to teach and be the example to those around them.
They have a feature once a month that they like to call #HuntinWifeWednesday (their version of #WomanCrushWednesday) on all social media outlets. This allows them to feature more and more women in the outdoors. Showing all of us that we can do it all.
Huntin Wives Value
They’re always trying to grow and be of value to those who follow them. If there is ever anything they can do for anyone, reach out to them. They want to be the “Go To” for all women who enjoy the outdoors or who want to learn more and get more involved.
Their focus of hosting youth hunts is educating and empowering the future generations about the great outdoors and getting them involved in the traditions from a young age. It’s a responsibility as avid sportswomen to pass the hunting heritage to the next generation and to build ethical hunters, responsible sportsmen, and passionate conservationists.
Meet the Founders
Meet the Founders, Rachel & Stacey. They met through Instagram and bonded over their interests and passion for all things outdoors.
Meet Rachel
Rachel is a Co-Founder of Huntin Wives. She was born and raised in Western Oregon in the Willamette Valley and she’s the youngest of 3 girls. She didn’t grow up in a hunting family, but her father did enjoy watching the animals in their habitat rather than hunt them.
Rachel finally got into hunting when she met her husband in 2014. With one hunt she found her love and passion for the outdoors she didn’t know she had. They raise their kids to understand why they hunt, conservation, and hope they carry on the lifestyle into the next generation.
Meet Stacey
Stacey is the other Co-Founder of Huntin Wives. She grew up in a small town on the Oregon Coast. Her father was an active military so in her younger years they moved a bit but then settled in the PNW. She remembers being alongside him fishing and hunting from an early age. It was providing meat for the family.
Stacey’s passion for hunting and conservation continues to actively grow. It’s a way of life as long as she can remember from scouting and the adventure to the trigger pull and field dressing. Her and her husband now share the same love and desire for all things outdoors. Even with kids, they still actively hunt together. Passing down this tradition to them is priceless. As a family we always seek new adventures in the outdoors!
Huntin Wives Inspiration
What inspired them to create Huntin Wives was seeing a need at the time of a platform that could include women of all shapes, sizes, experience levels, and backgrounds. The biggest motivation is being able to connect and inspire other women and future generations.
They love seeing others expand their knowledge, skills, and comfort in the outdoors. Being able to support, encourage, and educate others who share the same passion drives us. This desire for the outdoors let to the creation of HW.
